🦷 Week 2 is in full swing at Competitive Edge Dental Assisting Academy!

Our students are building on everything they learned during Week 1 with hands-on practical testing and skill development. This week also marks the start of one of the most exciting parts of the program—Dental Radiology!

Students take turns being both the dental assistant and the patient while learning to take diagnostic X-rays. Not only does this help them master proper techniques, but it also gives them a firsthand understanding of what their future patients will experience in the dental chair.

Week 2 = X-ray week 📸🦷

From learning the why in lecture to getting hands-on with the how, our students are diving into everything radiology. They’re learning how X-rays are taken, how they’re processed, what we’re actually looking for, and how to make the experience comfortable for patients.

It’s been so fun watching the confidence build already. This group is catching on fast and putting the pieces together quicker than they even realize. Big things are happening in just the second week! ✨
