Parents, did you know that teaching ‘O’ for Orange might be doing more harm than good in your child’s reading journey? 🚫 Many of us grew up with this approach, but it can confuse beginner readers and delay their progress.

In my latest video, I explain why it’s crucial to teach the short vowel sounds like ‘O’ for Octopus or Ox instead. Using the wrong sound at the beginning of reading instruction can create lasting confusion and hinder your child’s ability to decode words effectively.
