Congratulations to the class of 2026!

The department celebrated Dr. Stimson’s retirement with a cake and party yesterday. Congratulations!

Dr. Kris Amrhein , a former UTC faculty member and alumnus, traveled to Gulf Shores to see the UTC Beach Volleyball team play in the first round of the NCAA tournament. He connected with Chemistry major and player Ansley Gulledge .gulledge . It’s exciting to see our students excel both in and out of the classroom!

Have you finished Organic Chemistry 2? Sign up to take Polymer Chemistry and learn about the molecules and reactions that lead to the unique behavior of macromolecules! The lab includes hands-on advanced synthesis. Chemistry majors, don’t miss this opportunity! The class is also a good fit for chemical engineering and physics majors, and counts toward the chemistry majors or minor as an upper-level elective.

Chemistry faculty have been honored at the Faculty Awards Ceremony! Becca Stimson received the Service Excellence (non-tenure track) Award and Emily Alonge received the Teaching Excellence (non-tenure track) Award!
