How do I sum up a day like yesterday in one tiny instagram post?! had a whirlwind of a day but this entire barn family is a well oiled machine 🦾
🦄 Carter and Elmo had an impressive first horseshow together!! They put together two very strong tests for scores in the 30’s - not too shabby for your first trips down the centerline! Carter impressed me with her ability to focus and bring the best out in her wonderful pony and came away with a fourth and sixth to show for it!
🦄 Kate and Squishy had a beautiful dressage test and an absolutely stunning stadium round!! This was not a light starter course at all - in fact it was much closer to BN - but Kate locked in and rode double clear to finish 2nd on her dressage score of 35 in a highly competitive division!
🦄 Isla and Hermes had their second 3 phase together and all of the incredible hard work & personal growth Isla has put in really paid off. She rode so professionally through hardship in all three phases, never giving up even when the going got tough, and it paid off with a strong finish inside the ribbons at 6th place in a massive division!
👸 Amelia was our groom extraordinaire - she supported her team mates, cheered for her friends’ successes as if they were her own, and kept everyone - including me - on track for a busy day. We couldn’t have done any of it without her!!
🦄 Vinnie must love the color blue - he won his first round again!!! He really rose to the challenge of two courses that were much bigger than what we’ve schooled before - and he jumped fantastic. Thanks to Jade Anderson Eventing for all your help guiding this young horse through a bustling show atmosphere, and thank you to the Walker family for trusting me with this talented guy!
Thank you to the family and friends who support the Firefly riders and horses! And thank you to the extraordinary team of volunteers at Bouckaert Farm for producing a wonderful show. And of course — we are so, so incredibly grateful to the generous horses who do all these things for us.
