You may have seen this smiling face around Northwest last year. Lizet Zamora was our building substitute. You could find her subbing for a class, helping in Pre-K, shelving books, wrapping art pieces or helping with special projects. She always did it with a smile. We are pleased to announce that she will be joining the Pre-K Team as a paraprofessional. An interesting fact Lizet is a former NWE Wildcat. She will even be a colleague to some of her former teachers. Congratulations to Lizet in her new position. We wish her the best! She will do great!

🎒 The 2026 Back 2 School Bash is tomorrow from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at MCHS!

We’re excited to welcome our families and community partners for a great day together!

A quick parking reminder for those attending: The upper front parking lot at Murray County High School will be closed during the event due to senior parking spot painting. Our seniors take great pride in their work, and we want to make sure their space and artwork are protected. We appreciate your understanding!

Parking will be available at the Central Office, the Rec Center, and the MCHS football field parking lot. Two activity buses will run throughout the event to pick up and drop off attendees from these parking areas.

We can’t wait to see everyone at the Back 2 School Bash!

The next couple of days we will be sharing the many faces that make up the Northwest Family. We are excited to see your Wildcat next week for Open House! Next is our patient Pre-K Team. Last year was our first year to have Pre-K back at NWE. We had a great year with this very patient team and all our precious pre-k students. They get your child off to great start. We have two new faces.. Alyssa Payne and Liz Zamora. These ladies have participated in student teaching, subbed and volunteered in our building last year. We are happy to say they are official members of our NWE Faculty and Staff.
