The Cadet of the month takes in several factors, grades, uniform appearance grades, extracurriculars and physical fitness. This month the title goes to Cadet Ingram. Ingram is involved in just about every thing including a member of our Competitive Color Guard which brought home first place at the last meet, which we haven’t done in a long time. Congratulations Cadet Ingram, keep up the good work.

This weeks Cadet of the Week goes to Cadet Greathouse. The amount of growth he has shown this semester is incredible, the instructors and his classmates have noticed. I wish I would have not only recorded his reaction but the reaction of his classmates. The support they show one another and being truly happy to see others succeed amazes me. Congratulations Greathouse keep pushing yourself each day and continue to grow.

Today was a fun day as it was promotion and awards day for the 1st 9 weeks. Today Cadets were given the opportunity to get promoted, in order to be promoted they have to be passing all their classes, no out of school suspensions and say the Cadet Creed in front of myself or the CSM. Uppers must recite it in front of the whole class. Shout out to Cadet Jackson Perschino as he was selected for his performance this semester to be promoted to Cadet Staff Sergeant. He is currently a class leader and hopefully soon will earn one of the First Sergeant positions. We also gave out a variety of ribbons that Cadets have earned, the LET service ribbon, raider team ribbon, and the mile ribbon for running the mile in less than 8:30 M/10:45 (F) Congratulations to all those that met the standard for promotion and to those LET ones for finally having something to decorate their uniform with.

Thank you all for supporting these kids and our events through these sales and your donations. We truly appreciate the effort and look forward to doing another one later this year.

Congratulations to last weeks Cadet of the Week, Cadet DOUGLAS Cooper. Cooper has been the standard of what a student, athlete and young leader should be. Cooper is everywhere within the program, he leads by example and has really grown into a leader that others look up to. Yesterday at 730 at night while watching youth football practice, here comes Dougie running around the 5k course at the school after football practice. I said Dougie what are you doing? He said running….Keep it up Douglas!!!
