Today GMS signed to pledge to be respectful.

Thank you to Chatham Police Department and Plungee the Polar Plunge Bear in joining us to include everyone with what it means to be Respectful.

“I pledge to look for the lonely, the isolated, the left out, the challenged and the bullied.

I pledge to overcome the fear of difference and replace it with the power of inclusion!

Tomorrow starts our GMS Ice Bucket Plunge! Students will donate money and the top staff who raise the most will be dumped with a bucket of ice cold water. All proceeds go towards Special Olympics Illinois - Region H Polar Plunge.

Before and after photos of the boats from the 2024 Special Olympics Region H Cardboard Boat Regatta yesterday and a note from Mr. Brown.

“Still in WOW of what my students were able to accomplish yesterday. From all the hard work with the less than 8 hours of total work time they were given to all the support they brought to the event from Sponsors, Donors, family members, the community, and themselves. Even through the hard times and challenges they faced, my students embody what it means to be a Glenwood Titan. I am beyond grateful to have a platform through my class to continue to spread awareness of an organization that hits home. Thank you isn’t enough for all the support we received. Excited to look forward to the future of this special tradition. Onto Robotics!

Tomorrow is Race Day!!! Excited to see our 6 boats representing GMS. Even more excited to witness all the hard work that was put in to each boat by Mr. Brown’s students the last 10 days.

There is still time to donate! Each class hour is in competition with each other to see who can raise the most money to win a Culver’s party during class. Thank you to all of our Sponsors and Donors so far for supporting such an amazing organization. We truly appreciate you!
