MRS is composed of both graduate and undergraduate students with faculty adviser Prof.
The Materials Research Society is a student-led organization that fosters an environment for collaboration and open exchange of ideas across all scientific disciplines and welcoming students at all points of their academic careers. The MRS chapter at UVA is involved with:
- Putting together social events on campus
- Bringing industry and academic speakers to campus
- Helping provide resources for

MRS is hosting a fantastic two-part seminar with Professor Soffa! The topic will be Entropy and its relationship with modern science & technology. It will be held on April 3rd and 10th from 3:15pm to 5pm in Wilsdorf 101. Refreshments will be available. See you all there!
MRS is having it's first semester meeting this Friday (2/15) at 3pm in the Materials Science Building, room 171! Come join us!

A big thank you to Professors Liheng Cai and Prasanna Balachandra for speaking with us! And a thank you to everyone who took time to come to UVA MRS's Talk Series. We have more activities in the making, so stay tuned!
