Numbers tell a story. Does your team know how to read it?
Too many emerging leaders nod along in budget meetings without truly understanding the financial statements driving the conversation, and that gap quietly limits how much they can contribute.
Our NEW online Accounting and Finance Essentials program closes that gap. Over seven weeks, participants learn directly from Professor Paul Simko, a CPA and Darden faculty member whose research centers on how financial information shapes the decisions of investors and analysts.
They'll walk away able to read income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, and connect that data to real strategic decisions.
Read to build financial acumen and confidence with numbers across your high-potential employees? Register today for our cohort that starts on July 1st: https://managementonline.darden.virginia.edu/programs/finance-essentials/

Congratulations to our Leading Teams for Growth and Change participants who wrapped up an incredible week in Charlottesville on Friday!
Through case studies, peer workshops, the Insights assessment and daily sweep rowing exercises on the Rivanna River, this cohort dove into what it truly means to build and lead a high-performing team in a world defined by constant change. Together, they explored the core themes at the heart of great team leadership, including:
➡️ Creating the environment for change — developing the self-awareness and communication skills to visualize organizational goals, earn buy-in and inspire others to move forward
➡️ Coaching instead of directing — learning to assess individual strengths, bridge differences within teams and build a culture where every person knows their role and feels valued
➡️ Performing under pressure — putting it all together on the water for a thrilling regatta, where the lessons of synchronization, trust and shared purpose became more than theory
We are so proud of this cohort of leaders and the work they put in to challenge themselves and grow!
P.S. Swipe to see the Yellow Team's adorable mascot!🐶
