1:1 TUTORING (in your home or public location like a library)

I am a licensed teacher and reading specialist. Is your child a 1st - 6th grader, who is struggling with reading or lacks motivation? Kindergarten expectations today are what 1st grade expectations were ten years ago. Is your child not yet old enough to attend school, but you want to make sure that he or she will be ready? I will assess your child and create lesson plans that meet his or her individual needs. PARENT COACHING

Are you a home-school parent, who would like to have your child tested to find out his or her reading level, spelling level, as well as, strengths and weaknesses? Would you like input on your current program and/or suggestions to motivate your child? Do you enjoy teaching science, social studies, and math, but would prefer a certified reading specialist to provide reading instruction for your child? SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION

Would you like to hire a part-time reading specialist to provide targeted reading instruction in any setting? public, private, religious affiliated schools

CONSULTING SERVICES

Does your school need someone to organize a book room? Do you want to start a new reading program? Are you getting the desired results from your current reading program? Do you have newly hired teachers who need training or support (or experienced teachers in need of a quick refresher) on the following:

-Setting up your classroom with reading in mind
-Organizing your room so that it is student driven
-Assessing students and organizing the data
-Using those assessments to guide instruction
