Greer Elementary School

🚨🌧️ Due to forecasts of severe weather tomorrow afternoon, including an increased risk of tornadoes, ACPS will operate on a half-day schedule for students on Monday, March 16. This change allows students and staff to travel home before the most severe weather is expected.🚨☔️

🚨Information to Know:
- Greer Elementary School will dismiss at 11:30am.
- Buses will be arriving at bus stops about 3 hours earlier than usual.
- There will be no after school clubs or activities. (No Girls on the Run and No K-Kids Club)
- EDEP will not operate.
- 🚨UPDATE: Boys & Girls Club and ACAC will not operate.
- The Greer Office will close at 2pm.

‼️If you would like to change your student’s dismissal plan, please notify the Office AND the Classroom Teacher by 10:00am.‼️

‼️If you do not contact the office and classroom teacher, we will utilize your student’s default dismissal plan (or emergency plan that you indicated at the beginning of the school year).‼️

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff!

💚Friday, March 6th: School-Wide Morning Meeting will be led by our First Grade Geckos at 8:15am in the gym! This will be followed by a PTA Meeting at 9:00am in the cafeteria. We hope you join us!

📚It’s Read Across America Week! The theme this year is Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Learners. We cannot wait to celebrate Greer’s love of reading! Greer Geckos are Readers!

Monday: Start reading and write about it in your challenge log ✏️

Tuesday: Wear comfy clothes (sweatshirt, fuzzy socks, sweater, etc.) 🧦

Wednesday: Bring a stuffed animal 🧸

Thursday: Wear your favorite color 🌈
