Funeral info for Al Kidd: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home (2403 Harrison Ave, Panama City, FL 32405). A rosary will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (1008 Fortune Ave, Panama City, FL 32401).

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Al Kidd ('69, a Refounder) who died at age 77 in Florida on August 4 after contracting a water-borne bacterial infection, just as he and his wife were celebrating their 57th Anniversary. A regular attendee at Homecoming festivities, he was also a retired Naval Officer and will be greatly missed as he moves to the Chapter Eternal. Rest in peace, Al.

Information on funerals for Essex and Marshall are below:

Friends of Marshall "Sweetpea" Epstein (age 63 -- Class of 1983) are invited to attend a service at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church VA at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 22, with service to follow at Temple Rodef Shalom, 2100 Westmoreland Street, Falls Church.

A memorial service is planned for Essex Scales (age 71, Class of 1973) on Saturday, February 1st, at 1 PM, at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville. A gathering will take place afterwards at Selvedge Brewery, which is close by.

For those who did not know, both Essex Scales ('73) and Marshall Epstein ('80) recently passed away. Beloved members of Omega Alpha, they will be dearly missed. Keep their families in your thoughts.
