One of the most difficult things about the past two years has been not gathering together for our recitals. Celebrating everyone’s hard work and bringing our music community together once or twice a year was such an important experience, and one that I’ve struggled to simulate. I can’t wait until it feels safe to do it again!
In the meantime, I’m working on some even more exciting ways for students to come together virtually, to work on songs over a period of time, and to perform and give feedback to each other. The potential for community building is so inspiring to me, and I can’t wait to share all of the details with everyone.
Workshops with Becca, coming soon!

Life has been quite interesting since the start of 2020 but it seems time is flying by and the world keeps on spinning. While the pandemic has created hurdles for small businesses, it has also allowed some of us to think of new and creative ways to connect with students. Coming soon…. Workshops! Group Classes! Giveaways! New Hours and More! Stay tuned. The future is looking bright. ☀️ 🎵

Gus and I just watched this video together. It has nothing to do with piano, but is such a great introduction to the orchestra that I wanted to share with all of you. Each instrument is featured clearly and the final build up of the entire ensemble at the end is so powerful! Plus, if you liked "Moonrise Kingdom," this is the extended version of the song that's played throughout that movie!

I've been asking students for ideas to help other students want to (or remember to) practice. Here's the list, so far!

A new year often means resolutions! Is your student's resolution to get better at practice? I've been creating a list of practice tips from my very own students, but while that's still being put together, here's a great list of tips for kids that I came across today. The formatting isn't the most reader-friendly, but the tips are really good for families who are interested in boosting their practice habits!
