The Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Q***r, and Questioning (LGBTQ) Center at the University of Virginia seeks to foster the development of LGBTQ students, faculty, staff, alumni, and allies. Founded under the Office of the Dean of Students in 2001, with generous financial support from the Serpentine Society, the LGBTQ Center works to raise awareness and inclusion of sexual and gender diversities through programs, outreach, and services that support the advancement of the LGBTQ community. Located in the center of Grounds, in Newcomb Hall, Lower Level, the LGBTQ Center is both a welcoming physical space and a programming center for the university. Whether you’re questioning, coming out, q***r, or an ally, the Center has something for you.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is an annual observance honoring the lives of transgender individuals lost to violence over the past year. This year, our vigil will be held in the LGBTQ Center in Newcomb Hall (3rd Floor), followed by a reflection space and dinner. This event is open to all.

Fill out the google form at the link in bio to apply - the training dates are February 3rd or February 4th (you only need to attend one if you are a new volunteer, returning volunteers do not need to attend training)
