Just checking in to let you know that school doesn't have to look the way you think it does.
It can look like muddy boots, curious questions, creek walks, friendship, hands-on projects, and kids who are excited to tell you what they discovered.

If you're looking for a different kind of education (one rooted in curiosity, connection, and the outdoors) we'd love to meet you.

🌿 We still have a few openings for this school year, with space currently available in K–2.

💚 Financial assistance is available.

Come see what learning can look like. Learn more and schedule a tour at greenadventureprojectscool.org

One of the questions we hear is, "Why don't you just tell the kids the answer?"

Because the answer isn't actually the goal. The goal is helping learners become curious enough to ask meaningful questions, think critically, and discover answers for themselves.

When we own the question, we also own the learning. That doesn't mean educators step back. In fact, great inquiry requires incredibly intentional teaching. We guide, challenge, scaffold, and support, but we also leave room for curiosity to do its work.

Tonight's Dinner Question:

"What's something you wondered about today?"

Believe in yourself.
Dream big.
Work hard.
Stay curious.

We believe childhood should be filled with opportunities to try, fail, grow, and try again. Confidence isn't something we're born with, it's built one brave step at a time.

What if your child was excited to go to school?

Not because every day is easy, but because every day brings something worth wondering about.

At GAP, we believe excitement for learning is something worth nurturing. Whether we’re launching rockets, building shelters, writing stories under the trees, solving real-world problems, or proudly sharing a project, we want our learners to experience the joy of discovering something new.

When kids are curious, challenged, known, and supported, learning becomes more than something they have to do, it becomes something they want to do.

If you're looking for a school where curiosity is celebrated, relationships matter, and children are excited to learn, we'd love to meet you.

Sometimes bravery is raising your hand when you’re unsure of the answer. Trying something new. Joining a game. Sharing an idea. Asking for help. Trying again after something didn’t go as planned.

Growth happens when we’re willing to stretch beyond what is comfortable. 💚

When we spark curiosity, we open the door to learning. 📚

As we prepare for another school year, we're once again thinking about one of the most important decisions we make at GAP: Who will spend their days with our learners?

When we're hiring, we certainly care about experience, knowledge, and strong teaching practices. But those aren't the first things we look for.

First, we look for people who genuinely enjoy children. People who build relationships. People who see children for who they are, not who they think they should be. People who are kind, compassionate, and curious. People who can think creatively, solve problems, and adapt when plans change (because they always do). People who love being outside in all seasons. People who can collaborate with a team, accept feedback with humility, and continue growing in their practice. People who understand that meaningful learning begins with connection.

At GAP, our educators are asked to do a lot. They facilitate inquiry, build community, support diverse learners, navigate muddy trails, find answers to questions, and create learning experiences that don't come from a script. The work is challenging and meaningful.

And every summer, we're reminded how fortunate we are to work alongside educators who show up each day ready to learn, grow, and serve children well.

Because at the end of the day, curriculum matters. But relationships matter first. 💚

What if school felt different?

What if your child spent their days learning through hands-on projects, exploring the outdoors, building meaningful friendships, and discovering that learning can be joyful?

At GAP School, that’s exactly what we strive to create.

Our learners ask big questions, investigate the world around them, take healthy risks, and grow into confident, capable humans, all within a close-knit, supportive community.

We currently have openings in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade for the 2026–2027 school year.

✨ Financial assistance is available.
✨ Small class sizes.
✨ Outdoor, inquiry-based learning.
✨ A community that truly knows your child.

If you’ve been wondering whether there’s another way to do school, this might be the sign you’ve been waiting for.

Send us a message or schedule a tour at greenadventureprojectschool.org, we’d love to show you around. 🌿💚

"My child loves learning, but doesn't love school."

The truth is, learning and school aren't always the same thing.

Children are naturally curious. They ask questions. They investigate. They create. They explore.

Sometimes what they're struggling with isn't learning. It's finding an environment where their curiosity can thrive.

At GAP, we work hard to create learning experiences that feel meaningful, connected, and alive. Because we believe curiosity isn't something to manage. It's something to protect.

Have you ever heard your child say they were bored at school?
