There are a plethora of silk/taffeta pants in the secondhand marketplace. My recommendation would be to size up one or two sizes to create that baggier look. Now if will restock the chartreuse ones. 🤞💚

As someone who practically lives in linen all summer long, I’ve learned to embrace the wrinkles. The goal is linen that feels effortless. Linen should look like it’s been worn, loved, and lived in.

What I love about Poète is that a few spritzes help refresh my pieces and smooth the fabric. It’s also a summer travel necessity. After long days of exploring and playing outside with my kids, I love to spray my clothes and hang them to dry so they’ll feel refreshed for another day.

Oh, you know, just another amazing secondhand find. This dress stopped me in my tracks - the colors are so saturated and beautiful. I will be wearing it any and everywhere!

Well, this was an unexpected email to receive.

“AP Styed has been nominated for Best Personal Stylist in the 2026 Best of C-VILLE awards.”

When I started this business, my goal was never simply to help women get dressed. It was to help them feel more confident in their clothing, develop their own personal style, and become more intentional about what they bring into their wardrobe. Buy less, but better.

Over the years, I’ve had the absolute privilege of working with hundreds of clients, building an online community, and having countless conversations about style and consumption. To see that work recognized by my own community means a great deal.

To vote, click the link in my bio and my nomination/name is under services. Polls are open and will close on June 30.

Thank you, thank you! 🥹

I rarely choose handbags based on trends or logos. I look for craftsmanship, quality materials and most importantly, a bag I’ll reach for over and over again.

As a stylist, I encourage my clients to buy fewer, but better things. The same philosophy applies to handbags. I’m drawn to heritage brands that prioritize longevity over trends.

These bags from are crafted from beautiful leather designed to develop character with wear. Moore and Giles is also located in Central Virginia, so we are practically neighbors! I’d much rather support a smaller, local brand than a major corporation.

Another month, another set of color palettes to try. Which ones are you wearing this summer? I’m personally excited to see the return of teal/turquoise.🩱

I might be opening a can of worms here, but recently, I’ve seen a lot of content declaring what moms should wear if they want to be “cool.”

My initial thought is that we are far more than what we wear. The coolest moms I know are wearing scrubs because they’re an ER doctor, or they’re wearing practical clothes because they work with kids.

Even as someone who loves fashion and works as a stylist, I get exhausted by the rhetoric that we are only as good as the clothing we wear. And don’t get me wrong…I love fashion, and I too want to feel “cool,” but the entire industry preys on insecurities.

Do you think social media has made women more afraid of getting style “wrong”?

I think we all have a love/hate relationship with being online. What’s something social media improved about your relationship to style? And conversely, how do you think it has hindered or damaged it?

Has anyone else been waiting for paisley to make a comeback?? currently has some beautiful paisley pieces for spring/summer. Gingham and polka dots have always been a strong staple in my wardrobe.

Let me know which one you’re wearing for summer!
