Check out what Charlotte was up to this summer across the sea! (ft. Ana Teresa and Sam)
"This summer I had the opportunity to immerse myself in Spanish culture through UVA’s Study Abroad program in Valencia, Spain! For 10 weeks I stayed with a host family in order to have a more authentic glimpse into life in Spain. Living with a host family was a great way to fine-tune my language skills, and was an interesting way to see cultural contrasts with life in the US. On weekends I had time for independent travel to nearby cities and even stumbled across Samantha Kuo in Amsterdam and Italy. I had such a great time getting to know the city of Valencia and would highly recommend UVA’s summer study abroad programs for anyone who can’t bear to be away from JPJ during basketball season, like me!"

"Here are some fun photos from the summer with my fantastic Chi O ladies! Elizabeth, Kathyrn, Janey, Mads, and I have all been working at Camp Greystone in Tuxedo, North Carolina. In the Carolinian mountains, we are teaching different activities to girls of all ages! It's been a blast working with these gals this summer!" -Meredith Buckley

Here's a summer update from our sista sista Addison Mooradian
"This summer I studied abroad for the past 7 weeks in Paris, France! I was taking French classes through IES and getting transfer credit from uva. It was an amazing experience, I learned a ton about French culture and made some pretty great friends. I also got to do a lot of fun traveling on the weekends, including a trip to Dublin to see Taylor Harvey! I was nervous about studying abroad at first but I had so much fun and learned that you never really get anywhere unless you take a step out of your comfort zone" -Addison "let me stay" Mooradian

Abby Bostian has spent the beginning of her summer learning more about Chi Omega and meeting different sisters from across the nation!
"This past weekend, I attended Chi Omega’s Biannual Convention in Phoenix, Arizona. The recruitment chair and G.H. from each of the 181 Chi Omega chapters nationwide were asked to be in attendance, resulting in getting to meet active sisters from all over the U.S., as well as many many long-time members (including several sisters receiving a 50 year membership pin). We enjoyed a model initiation ceremony, several classes on marketing and recruitment strategy, meals honoring particularly notable sisters, informational workshops and much more! Despite the 110+ degree weather, Convention was an eye-opening & rewarding experience, and having an In-N-Out 0.6 Miles from the resort definitely didn’t hurt😋" -Abby "making sisterhood better one convention at the time" Bostian

Here's our first summer update from some of our sisters! Ellie Westermann, AB Bugg, Alexis Curts, and Libba McCraw have been spending the first part of summer exploring Copenhagen and everywhere in between! "We’ve spent the past two weeks taking a class on human trafficking at DIS which is a school in the heart of Copenhagen. The class has taught us interesting and relevant topics that affect the world around us. When we aren’t in class, we have spent our afternoons trying new foods, exploring the city and swimming in the harbor! We’ve explored many castles and churches, climbed to the very top of Church of our Savior which was 400 winding steps (as pictured) and recently did a canal tour around one of Copenhagen’s most famous, beautiful tourist sites! Biking is much more common here and we got the chance to bike to a famous street which consisted of over 30+ street vendors, which was such a fun new way to get around the city! Overall, our time in Copenhagen has been a trip of a lifetime, especially with such a good group!"

HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO OUR CHI OMEGA SISTERS (especially our fourthies)
Anna Bergersen,
Happiest of birthdays to my favorite girly pop!! You are someone I can always turn to, from crying in public to cheering on the hoos (and maybe crying in public again). You are full of love and literally radiate joy like a beacon. You deserve to be so celebrated!! I can't imagine anyone else I want to have by my side. You not only constantly encourage my weird sense of humor and sentimentality, you have just as many emotions and jokes to share! We both know I could continue proclaiming my love and thankfulness for you for hours, so I'm just going to cut myself off now. Cheers to you and your twenty-two years of life, Texas girlie!! Love you forever. -Molly Adams
Happy birthday to the pal of all pals, Ellie Wood! To the Queen of Michael’s Bistro, the #1 Fan of XO Chapter Pats, and the Champion of Garden XI: you are truly one of a kind! Your presence brightens any room and never fails to make me smile, and I am so glad for your compassion, wit, and verve. Thanks for being a *very* patient (and an equally late-in-the-mornings kind of) roommate, a fabulous DJ (gotta love that commitment to the aux), a fellow sandwich (and now…soup…?) connoisseur, an excellent Skyline Drive driving companion (long live the roadside Mountain Dew), and a best pal. So very thankful for ya, El!! You deserve all the chapter pats and ice cream cones in the world for your birthday!! -Claudia Muratore
