Bismillah ~

It is narrated that Imām Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq was asked: “Why was the Prophet ﷺ orphaned of both his ﷺ parents?”

‎He replied, “So that no makhlūq (created being) would have a right over him ﷺ.”

‎Meaning: so that the guidance of Rasūlullāh ﷺ would come directly from Allāh.

Shaykh Nooruddeen is one the pioneer for the celebration of Mawlid un Nabi in North America.

The First International Mawlid al-Nabi Conference was held in Chicago, Illinois, in 1994 organized by the Peoria-based Naqshbandiya Foundation for Islamic Education (NFIE). At the conference, shaykhs and scholars from around the world argued for both the religious precedence and cultural importance of the celebration of the birth of the Prophet. More than 1,200 people from across North America and from overseas attended this spiritual conference, the theme of which was “Love of God and the Prophet”

Shaykh al-Qurrāʾ Ibn al-Jazarī states: it has been established through experience that commemorating the birth of Rasūlullāh ﷺ in Rabīʿ al-Awwal brings about peace and safety for the remainder of the year, and glad tidings for the swift fulfillment of one’s aspirations.

In this month is His birthday His name means the Praiseworthy.

Muhammad was forebearing, honest, just and chaste. His hand never touched the hand of a woman over whom he did not have rights, with whom he did not have sexual relations, or who was not lawful for him to marry.

He was t h e m o s t g e n e r o u s of
m e n . Neither a dinar nor a dirham was left him in the evening. If anything remained and there was no one to give it to, night having fallen suddenly, he would not retire to his apartment until he was able to give this excess to whoever needed it.

He was never asked for anything but that he gave it to the asker. He w o u l d prefer the seeker to himself and his family, and so often his store of grain for the year was used up before the end of the year. He patched his sandals
and clothing, did household chores, and ate with his women-folk.

He was shy and would not stare into people's faces. He answered t h e invitation of th e slave and t h e
free-born, and he accepted presents even if they consisted of merely a draught of milk or a rabbit's leg,
while because of hunger he would at times tie two stones around his stomach.
