Our daughter graduated from UR, started working there the very next day after graduation, in the Library, and Mr. Fox was a guest soon after :)

OK the truth is out (finally), 55% unemployment/underemployment rate for college grads under age 25. Add to that 2/3rds of college grads who have college debt averaging about $25,000 per student! Even worse is the astounding 45% of college attendees who not graduate (within 6 years)!

The college class of 2012 is in for a rude welcome to the world of work.

"It worries me," said Mike Mychack, 24, of Port Richmond. He graduated this year with $50,000 in debt from Temple University and now works at the Bridesburg Boys & Girls Club, making less than $20,000 a year. "I'll never be able to pay the loan off at this rate."

To get educated these days, most students have to go into debt.
