Construction is nearing completion at Mountain View Upper Elementary and ACE Academy โ Lambs Lane Campus as we prepare to welcome students for the 2026-27 school year.

As we prepare for the 2026-27 school year, Acting Superintendent Dr. Chandra Hayes has shared a message with students, families, staff, and community members about her priorities and commitment to ACPS.

The Albemarle County School Board has appointed Dr. Chandra Hayes as Acting Superintendent of Albemarle County Public Schools, effective immediately.
Dr. Hayes will serve as Acting Superintendent during the 2026-27 school year while the School Board conducts a search for the divisionโs next permanent superintendent.
The Board selected Dr. Hayes to provide steady leadership and support for our students, staff, families and schools during this important time for our division.
