Our first year students received their gi and white belt. Master Park is teaching the students basic stances, blocks, punches and kicks. The white belt indicates that the student is beginning the taekwondo journey with no prior knowledge.

August 2026! The summer has flown by. We are preparing to greet our students for the next school year. We can’t wait to see their faces on August 19. The school office is now open 5 days per week if you have any questions about CASJE or admissions.

Our board members, faculty and staff attending this year’s CSN summit were treated to an amazing plenary session. Dr. Abela is a wonderful speaker. And he has several ties to the Charlottesville area, including a personal connection with our own Dr. Bond.

From corporate boardrooms to the study of Catholic social teaching, Dr. Andrew Abela shared at CSN Summit’s second plenary session how his personal experiences led him to discover distributism—an economic theory that G.K. Chesterton and many other Catholic thinkers have held dear.

Distributism is the idea that ownership, opportunity, and agency should be promoted across many families and small businesses, rather than concentrated within a few large corporations. Society flourishes, Dr. Abela argued, when every family has the power to be producers, rather than merely consumers.

What does this mean for education? It means that local, parent-led models—like Chesterton Academies—are following directly in the distributist tradition by helping parents to reclaim responsibility for their children’s education. This movement is strengthening families, whole communities, and future generations!

In Dr. Abela’s words: “Taking back education is a distributist move, and that’s what you are doing.”
