Virginia scholarship alert! The Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at UVA is seeking students across Virginia to apply to the 2022 High School Leaders Program (HSLP). Due March 22.
The (HSLP) offers concentrated study in Virginia politics and government for high school students from across the state over the course of two weeks. The HSLP is based on a firm belief that young people not only can make a positive difference in their communities, they should be strongly encouraged to do so.
Past graduates of the program have formulated policy projects adopted into law by members of the General Assembly, and in 2019, two HSLP alumni founded the Greater Good Initiative, a youth-led thinktank.
