Our teachers also join our students for some four square during breaks.

Our first year and first week of Drone Coding camps ....a blast!!.
Campers coded drones to pass through obstacles, use sensors, execute 360 flips, take aerial photos and much more!!!

This is how a Jr. Inventors Lab should look like after a fun week of building robots, bridges, circuits, and more. Plus when we hear our 1st and 2nd graders tell us that "the circuit won't work because it's not closed, and we need a #3 shaft to close it" that just melts our hearts!!

Are they playing, creating, or building? It's All of the Above. We had fun building and playing Minecraft Mods in our first week of Camp. All campers came in on their own but will leave with many new friends, tons of smiles, and new skills !!

High School Coding Camp Explore our STEM summer camps in South Charlotte, focusing on Coding, Robotics, Public Speaking, and Entrepreneurship.

We are at the States Conference for Technology Students Association in Greensboro. Got to meet many of our students here, some of them now attend NCSSM. Got a chance to chat with faculty and advisors of many schools including NCSSM. Interesting trivia that we found out: Prof Larry Hodges, the retiring head of Computer Science at NCSSM Morganton has previously served as C. Tycho Howle Endowed Chair and Director of the Clemson School of Computing and chair of the Computer Science Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and was a founding faculty member of College of Computing at Georgia Tech.
We also got to chat extensively with the current chair of Computer Science at NCSSM Morganton, Mr. Sea who has traveled across the country teaching in many premier High Schools like NCSSM. We gained lots of insights about life at NCSSM in addition to observing events, expos, and more!!

State Mathcounts just concluded. Its a tough competition with the best Mathletes from North Carolina coming together to compete on Math problem solving. This year, our students secured spots in top 20, top 30, as well as were part of the #5, #6, and #8 ranked State Teams (out of 28 teams). Participating in State Mathcounts is an honor in itself. Congratulations to all participants.
