The ceremonial grade Cacao direct from Peru has been sitting on my counter for about 2 weeks now, and I’ve been waiting for the “perfect” time to experience it. Last week we were travelling for the Thanskgiving holiday and this week I have been at home with my little one who is unwell and taking up all of my time and energy both day and night. I’ve been craving quiet time to nourish my soul and connect with my inner goddess and plug away at the project I have in the works.

Last night was long, as have been the previous few nights and I was feeling weary yet hopeful this morning. I realized there was never going to be a perfect time to stop and enjoy my cacao in peace, I would just have to create the peace within me. So I made a cup, intuitively grabbed a few oils, sage stick, palo santo, my prayer journal and invited my son to join me. I set my intention, said a prayer and took a sip. My son tried his and was not impressed nor did he let me enjoy my cacao in peace, he begged for cartoons and told me to stop sitting down, lol. I applied my oils, sipped my cacao, wrote a few sentences in my prayer journal and prayed a short prayer. It was not elaborate or what I had envisioned but I found a few moments of peace and set my intention for the day. I’m grateful for those few moments.

I want to set an example to my sons that its just as important to nourish the soul and connect with God as it is to nourish the physical body. So today I sit, in ceremony with my Kakao asking for Gods guidance thru today and the months ahead, That I may find clarity in the direction I am to take to bring what has been laid on my heart to the world, to find gratitude even in the hard days and to be an example to the next generation.

Oils I chose to join me today;
Rose: The Queen of the oils, I chose this oil for its emotionally uplifting properties. I applied to the inside of my wrists and over my heart. I also applied over my sons heart.

Magnolia: I am in love with this beautiful floral oil. It helps me to feel connected and compassionate not only to my self but to those around me. I applied this beauty to my forearms and behind the ears.

Frankincense: The King of the oils! I chose this oil to enhance my mood as well as combat stress and anxious feelings. It helps to strengthen the intuition and deepens a spiritual connection thru enhanced focus. I applied to my forehead and inhaled from my hands.

First Elderberry syrup batch of the season done!
With healthcare premiums and doctor visit costs skyrocketing we focus on preventative care a lot in our home. Some of the ways we do that are in our morning daily routines.
* 2 tsp natural elderberry syrup + Omega 3 liquid in a shot glass at breakfast. (we don't take elderberry on the weekends)
* A2Z Doterra kids Multivitamin
* Reduce Sugar intake (Ahhhemmm, halloween candy is just too much and we will be implementing a Trade In policy this year - they will trade their candy for $ and get to spend it in their favorite store ie. Target!)
* Plenty of rest, I'm strict with bedtimes not because I don't love spending time with my kiddos but I know proper rest is key for maintaining health
* NO Purell or products with triclosan in our house, it actually lowers your resistance to disease by killing good bacteria, we use a natural OnGuard spray and foaming OnGuard hand soap instead.
* When the time changes we will add Vitamin D drops to their morning shot as they will be getting less sunlight during the day. I'll post details in another post.
* I diffuse certain Essential oils such as OnGuard, lemon, Tea Tree in the home regularly to help purify the air and keep airborne ickys away.
* I roll pre-diluted Essential oils on their feet and spine at breakfast and bedtime that are specific to boosting immunity such as OnGuard Touch or Stronger from the kids collection.

All of this takes just a few minutes a day, it doesn't have to be complicated - keep it simple.

February is the month of LOVE and I wanted to share a thought with you. It’s been a busy year so far for me and the calendar is filling up quickly. Then this happened today, I was busy buzzing around the house and prepping for an upcoming oil class and I looked over at my flowers that I bought (because I’m learning to LOVE and be kind to myself and do nice things for me) and noticed they were starting to droop. As I took a closer look I noticed the vase was completely dry and I had an “aha” moment. The flowers are starting to droop because no one has taken care of them and the same goes for me, and you dear friend! Don’t forget to take care of yourself while you’re busy loving on everyone else this month! I scheduled a facial for myself this month and had dinner out with a dear friend. What do you have planned this month to show yourself some LOVE or to “water your flowers”? 🌸 🌺 🌹
