Thanks to our friends at Sabrenation for putting together this great summary of transportation as we look at school opening in slightly less than a month. Some things to keep in mind.
1. Transportation will create stops for students who have requested transportation (through the survey or this site https://ei.synovia.com/public/cms/forms/LoginForm.aspx?nyr=1)
provided the address and request were in by August 4.
2. If this deadline is missed by parents/guardians then stops will be created on an ongoing basis but not by the first day of school.
3. If you want to use an alternative stop that is a registered after/before school care site, you must request it at the same site as above under Alternate Stops. (https://ei.synovia.com/public/cms/forms/LoginForm.aspx?nyr=1)
4. CMS will not create stops to workplaces, or to two different addresses. If you need students to go to a different address, we are sometimes able to write passes to currently existing stops provided that:
a. A student is currently assigned to that stop, (Stops that are not being used by the assigned student will go away in 10 days, regardless of us writing passes)
b. That stop is within walking distance of the sought after address, which is usually within 1/4 of a mile and not across a major intersection. Safety will come first always.
c. Passes cannot be written until after the first week of August, which is when we usually receive the master list.
