I attended the Music Academy at the University of Sarajevo where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Theory and Pedagogy. I worked with children ages 3-15 for seven years in a preschool music institution and multiple elementary schools. I moved to Charlotte, NC in June of 2012. I began private piano instruction for Musika, LLC. I really enjoyed working for Musika and decided to start my own company with the same function. Methods:
For beginner children in accordion and piano, I typically start with basics in instruments. As the student progresses and has a grasp of the fundamentals, I start to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For beginner adults, it is very important to find out what style is most interesting to the student. Then I guide instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun. Lesson Style:
Students need to develop a passion for music! My job is to encourage this by setting realistic goals for students eager to learn. When I find out what inspires the student, the next level of instruction is successfully tailored to their specific needs. This will help fuel the student’s desire to excel.
