I have officially been in Charlotte 5 months. 🌟
I think I’ve tried more things and taken more risks in the last 5 months than I have the last 5 years.
This isn’t some I risked it all and then life was perfect post either.
This s**t has been hard. And I still don’t know what I’m doing or where life is going.
But what I do know:
-I’m healing.
-I love my house family. I never thought I’d enjoy having roommates after living alone for so long. But Jesus sent me the best people to live with for this season.
-I’m trying things I never saw in my future and I can’t wait to see how they help me grow.
-I’m the best me I’ve been in a long time.
-I am deeply blessed. From the sell of my house to my current housing situation to my new job. None of it looks like what the 🌎 says is “the dream”. But I have been given time, support, and space to heal, rest, start over, and find my identity in Christ alone. Not in owning a house, or getting married, or being a bad teacher, or any of the other things I was so proud of. And I know that not everyone has the money, support, or time to do that in their life.
I’m grateful for my people who carried me through 2021. I’m grateful for this season that is hard but rewarding.
But mostly I’m grateful for the adventure that I never picked. and that gratefulness is something that is very recent.
