I first tried Burn at a pop-up camp in Raleigh as I was pregnant with my second child. I saw Morgan Kline working out pregnant & was inspired!
Fast forward 2 years, we moved to Charlotte. The first month being here I started a two-week trial. Then became pregnant. I knew how the last two pregnancies went & I wasn’t having that again! I went to camp 4-6 times a week pregnant up until 3 days before the birth of my third child. I took 6 weeks off & returned to my routine 6:15 AM camp.
People ask “how do you do it? That’s so early!” Well, we all know nothing comes easy. I often responded Burn is my coffee, my get up & go! When I miss camp, I’m so sluggish.
I’m now in the best shape of my life. Not the best size, there is a difference! I have lost 20 pounds since my start weight at Burn & an overall 16inches. I’m so thankful for our trainers & the opportunities Burn presents! Here’s to losing more inches & pounds in 2019!

We welcomed our first child a week before Covid. Although I was previously active, all gyms were now closed and I carried the postpartum weight. I snowballed the weight into my next pregnancy and we welcomed our second son October 2022. The weight added up between pregnancy, postpartum, Covid, pregnancy again, and postpartum again. I finally reached my mental and physical max and was sick of feeling uncomfortable.
I joined Burn in January 2023, three months after having my second child. My first day was conditioning – yikes! I barely made it to my car after that first camp before crying. I was nervous and couldn’t keep up mentally or physically.
My first year at Burn was more of a trial run. I went to camp but was ultimately still overeating. You can’t out exercise a bad diet! Within the past 6 months, I’ve locked in mentally and started to see significant changes on the scale, physical strength, and mental health. I’m down 30 pounds, three pant sizes, and inches all around. You’d be surprised what you can do if you push yourself! I’ve focused on eating smarter (think protein, protein, and more protein), hitting my steps each day, and going to camps 4-5x a week.
Thanks to my husband joining camps with me and my noon crew – Burn has become a major part of my life and has kept me consistent. If I can do it – as a full-time working mom of two littles – you can too!
