The Miseducation of The Young Adult Our goal is to address the issues that we face as young ppl and redirect our thinking. It’s a tool for use to prepare our minds for the world ahead of us.

The Miseducation of The Young Adult () was created to provide a new way of thinking for our young people. For several years we have been told, what to do, how it needs to be done, and not to mess up. This particular institution was derived to break those barriers. Dr. Carter G. Woodson’s text, The Mis-Education of The Negro, says "When you control a man's thinking you do not have to worry

about his actions. You do not have to tell him not to stand here or go yonder. He will find his 'proper place' and will stay in it" (The Mis-Education of The Negro). Unfortunately, the reality of this statement does not settle well with our generation, and it shouldn’t. In a generation of immediacy, short cuts, and money-over-passion driven people we have to find a way to strike our balance. While the idea of this learning institution is based off of the previous, the interest of this vehicle has nothing to do with race, creed, background, color, socioeconomic status, etc. The Miseducation of The Young Adult is simply what it states. Our goal is to address the issues that we face and redirect our thinking.

It's an intrusive question but you're allowed to question your own movements, decisions and indecisions. But keep in mind, even if you're nowhere near where you 'want' to be, you can certainly reprogram your GPS and recalculate your navigation.
