Kent Academy We are a private school located in the Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte. We educate the gifted child and children with learning disabilities.

Kent Academy is a small K-12 private school in Charlotte designed for families who are seeking smaller class sizes, mental health integration, and individualized, catered instruction. Our mission is to provide a small school environment with an individualized and integrated curriculum, at a more affordable price. Kent Academy has a strong curriculum and regularly utilizes resources from the commun

ity through field trips. We want to reach families who feel this smaller, more personal school setting would benefit their child. We are not able to facilitate emotional or behavioral concerns, as students must be able to work in a multi-level setting with other children. If you have a child who would flourish in a smaller, more focused setting, then Kent Academy may be a great resource. I would love the opportunity to tell you more about our school. Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week was all that and a bag of chips thanks to the AMAZING breakfast spread from Mrs. Kim Wennemer! Our staff was fueled up 90s style with coffee, juice, and delicious treats before another great day with our students. 💜
We are so thankful for the kindness, generosity, and support shown to our teachers this week. The love has definitely been fly! ✨📼

Day 3 of Teacher Appreciation Week is totally all that! Today we leveled up our celebration 90’s style with games, fun, and a few nostalgic throwbacks. From classroom wins to real life boss battles, our teachers show up every single day ready to play, inspire, encourage, and support our students.

They may not have cheat codes, but somehow they always find a way to make the impossible happen. 💛
