God places a huge importance on the condition of our hearts. The verse below states that He doesn’t look at the outward appearance, but our hearts.

He also instructs us in Proverbs 4:23 to Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Guarding our hearts could require :

💟Processing your feelings rather than stuffing them.
💟 Setting a needed boundary.
💟 Using our voice appropriately.
💟 Forgiving and asking forgiveness.

For me, it meant removing myself from a situation that was not good for me. How do you guard your heart? And how does it determine the course of your life?

There is a big difference between being proactive and being reactive. When you begin to focus your days proactively, you are no longer aimlessly reacting, but proactively planning. You are assessing your yes and no’s. You are living life on purpose rather than on impulse.
