History
* The school was built in 1928 and opened as Myers Park Public School
* The cafeteria was added in 1954, and the multi-purpose room in 1972
* MPTS was renovated in 2003 and a new wing including classrooms, gym, and main office was added.
* It became a traditional magnet school in 1974, the first traditional magnet in CMS
* A Time Capsule was buried May 6, 1976, opened May 6, 2001, and buried again May 6, 2004 - to be opened in 25 years
