Thursday Night Football

🟒 Detroit +4.5
BUT this is much more attractive if you can get +5.5.
The market has moved as high as Buffalo -5.5 today.

So I would not chase Buffalo -5.5 after the move.

At +4.5, Detroit has some value from the fact that Gibbs gives them a way to shorten the game and manufacture offense even with the OL losses.

Props

Gibbs 17.5 rush attempts

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

🏈 Game setup
Denver +2.5 (-112)
Kansas City -2.5 (-108)
Total 43.5
KC ML -130 / DEN ML +110
The market is basically saying KC by about 3 and a 43–44 point game. Current reporting confirms Mahomes is expected to play, while Kansas City is without LT Josh Simmons and DB Chamarri Conner. Denver reported all 53 players available.

Kansas City Chiefs +1
The biggest handicap for me is Denver's pass rush vs. Kansas City's offensive line, especially with Mahomes returning from a major knee injury and having no preseason game action. Denver's defense led the NFL with 68 sacks last season.

Tier 1 β€” strongest
1. Denver +2.5 (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
2. Mahomes U1.5 Pass TD (-138) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

MONDAY NIGHT
(CFB)

SMU @ Florida State
7:30pm E.S.T
9/7/26

πŸ₯‡ Best bet: Florida State +3
πŸ₯ˆ Secondary: Under 53.5
🎯 Small value: Florida State ML +125 or better

Projected score: SMU 27 β€” Florida State 26

Why I'm on Florida State +3.5

1. The home field matters.
This is SMU's first trip to Doak Campbell Stadium, and Florida State already has a game under its belt after beating New Mexico State 34–17. SMU is playing its season opener.

2. +3 is the key number.
The market is sitting almost exactly at a field goal. I make the matchup closer to SMU -1.5 to -2, giving Florida State roughly a point of value at +3.

3. Independent models disagree with the market.
FanDuel/numberFire's model actually gives Florida State a 64.9% win probability, despite SMU being the market favorite. That's a significant signal that the Seminoles have more upset equity than the +125/+130 moneyline suggests.

4. SMU has the quarterback advantageβ€”but not enough for me to lay the points.
Kevin Jennings is experienced and SMU's offense remains dangerous. That's why I'm not making FSU moneyline my primary play. But SMU also has to deal with a hostile road environment and some defensive personnel losses.

5. Injury news slightly favors caution on FSU.
Florida State has several players downgraded, including OL Darryll Desir to doubtful and LB Blake Nichelson ruled out. SMU also has two safeties listed out.

The final availability update is scheduled for Monday at 5:30 p.m. ET, so this is one game where I'd check the report before kickoff

(Sunday CFB)
Louisville vs. Ole Miss
7:30pm
9/6/26

Best Bet: Louisville +6.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Secondary: Over 55.5 ⭐⭐⭐

Moneyline:
Louisville
+210 to +225 β€” small sprinkle

Projected score: Ole Miss 31 β€” Louisville 27

Why I'm on Louisville +6.5
1. The number is a little too high.
Ole Miss is the better-rated team, but this is a neutral-site game rather than an Oxford home game. My fair spread is closer to Ole Miss -4.5 to -5.

2. Louisville has the rushing profile to stay inside the number.
Isaac Brown gives Louisville a legitimate explosive back, while new QB Lincoln Kienholz brings mobility. Louisville also built an offensive line with 142 career starts, which is particularly valuable against an SEC opponent in Week 1.

3. Ole Miss has the biggest QB/skill-player advantage.
Trinidad Chambliss returns after throwing for 3,937 yards with 22 TDs and only 3 interceptions last season. Kewan Lacy also returns after a monster 1,567-yard, 24-TD season.

That's why I'm not willing to take Louisville outright as my primary wager.

ALL Football Season

Practice A:

The coach sees the low energy and snaps - "Everyone on the line!"

The team runs up-and-backs for six minutes.

Players are bent over, hands on knees, gasping for air.

Then the coach restarts the drill - "That showed 'em. Now they'll try harder."

It looks a bit sharper for a few minutes because no one wants to run again...

But by the end of practice, energy is flat again...

And everyone walks out of the gym dreading the next practice.

Practice B:

The coach sees the same low energy and makes a different call.

They pull out one of the team's favorite fast-paced games.

And within 90 seconds, the gym is loud.

Players are sprinting the floor, celebrating stops, hyping each other up...

All the energy that was missing 5 minutes ago is suddenly everywhere.

After two quick games, the coach flows straight back into the practice plan, and the intensity carries over into the next drill.

The lesson?

Both coaches responded to the same problem... low energy.

Both coaches wanted the same thing... intensity back in the gym.

Coach A treated it as a discipline issue and reached for a punishment.

While Coach B understood that energy dips happen to every team over a long season... so instead of fighting it with pointless running, they reached for a spark that brought the effort back within minutes.

Here's the thing...

Nowadays, *most* coaches walk into the gym with a practice plan.

But very few coaches have a plan for when practice doesn't go to plan.
