📅 Save the date: Fun Run is November 6! This year, we’re ONE SCHOOL with ONE GOAL: raise $10,000 together! Check our progress each morning in the school lobby. If we reach our goal (or get close!), we’ll celebrate with a pep rally featuring a special surprise guest! 🏃🎉

Some more GREAT things that happened this week! Fifth grade student Antony came to the office to celebrate AMAZING growth on his science test and got to make a positive phone call home, Ms. Merz’s second grade class worked to collaborate on research about different schools around the world, and our after school Digibridge STEAM club explored coding on Scratch before they begin building with code! Can’t wait to see more great things at the farm this week! Our students have launched the I’ve got your back program! Two fifth graders attended the training this summer to be the HFES I’ve got your back ambassadors 🙂 all students signed our pledge to being a caring member of our school community, encouraging and supporting classmates, and seeking help for those that need it! Have questions? Ms. Reiter is our I’ve got your Back contact 🙂 ¡Nuestros estudiantes han puesto en acción el programa «I’ve got your back»! ¿Tienes alguna pregunta? La Srta. Reiter es nuestra persona de contacto para el programa «I’ve got your back» 🙂 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

Families- Did anyone happen to catch an HFES fox family member on the news last night? Or maybe you saw her on the Drew Barrymore show this morning?? Our very own Ms. Spann, our behavior support coordinator, was a guest on the Drew Barrymore show today explaining what she does, how she supports students, and more!!!
If you weren't SUPER FANS like us and didn't click to record her 10 AM episode this morning- don't worry!!! You can catch it on Paramount + or YouTube TV 🙂

We think she's incredible- and now millions of others know how truly exceptional she is. Ms. Spann, we are so fortunate to have you as part of our HFES team!
