The Carolina Panthers celebrated the upcoming sanctioned girls flag football season last night during their final preseason home game! They invited girls from flag football teams across the state to take part in the pregame festivities and run out of the tunnel before the Panthers took the field. Kyrie Farley repped Myers Park on the sideline and Avery Scrivener was seen on the tv broadcast repping MP during the media day in spring! Here’s to a great season ahead! Let’s go!

Congratulations to Ryan Ahlum on being named the new Head Baseball Coach of Myers Park High School.

Coach Ahlum is a 2013 graduate who earned All-Conference honors twice during his playing career. He continued his baseball journey at Brevard College before transferring to UNC Charlotte, where he earned a degree in Communication Studies.

For the past nine seasons, Coach Ahlum has served as our Varsity Associate Head Coach and has been an integral part of one of the most successful eras in Myers Park baseball history. During that time, the Mustangs compiled an outstanding 172-41 record, captured multiple conference championships, and made several deep playoff runs. In addition to his work at Myers Park, Coach Ahlum has spent 12 years coaching travel baseball and developing student-athletes throughout the region.
