Claire is one of my dearest friends; her warmth, compassion and wisdom touch so many. She is truly a treasure. Currently she is moving through breast cancer and healing from surgery. Please consider donating and if you cannot, please pray, send healing vibes or whatever you believe in for her thorough and smooth healing!

First day of PreK for this kind-hearted, sweet pea ray of sunshine! We love love love him so much and it’s true that time is insane and flies by before your eyes! I made it to the hallway walking back and the tears came. 🥹😃😍

What a beautiful experience, painting the entrance mural at UNC Charlotte’s Co-Lab Uptown. Teaching entrepreneurship and mural skills to visual arts majors was a joy!

Co-Lab is an incubator for entrepreneurs and small businesses and cultivates collaboration, creativity and technological advancement. These themes are reflected in the mural through roots and tree branches to represent growth and expansion, but these lines also feel like brain synapses to symbolize innovation, technology and connection. Bursts of circles nod to individuals coming together to make something greater, a collective, a business, a community.

Co-Lab is bringing together industry professionals with faculty and students and it’s impactful and encouraging to witness. I’m proud to be a part of this and to be a UNC Charlotte alumni.

Thank you to Kimora, Miriam and McKenzie for the assistance and to Co-Lab for the opportunity!

Claire’s Army gala last night! Honored to collaborate with 4 yr old Beau on a painting for the silent auction! He is the same age as my son, and speaking to his lovely parents last night, I can’t imagine what they have been and are going through. He gets to ring the bell this week celebrating the end of his treatment, so please say a prayer for him and all these sweet and brave children for thorough and smooth healing!

What an incredible organization that supports children with cancer and their families as they navigate the inevitable stress, emotions, treatment and healing. Claire was a sweet pea that lost her battle with cancer in 2012. Claire’s parents, in missing her daily, find peace in giving back to others in need after so many (their Army) graciously gave to them—she loved a party and they sure threw a big one in her honor! If you couldn’t make it, consider popping on to their website and making a donation.

Thank you to Sarah Alexander for inviting Tiya Caniel | Artist , Charlotte Abstract Artist | Chalice Meikle , Elizabeth Palmisano , and myself to collaborate with these cuties and help raise funds for this wonderful non-profit!

I’m so thrilled that Hilary Siber Edwards and I were awarded a 2026 CLT Placemaking Grant! This will fund phase 2 of 3 of our mural coming to the Pierson Dr. & Independence underpass! Longtime Eastside Charlotte residents, we are so happy to incorporate images that celebrate this part of town and infuse a derelict underpass with color!

Stay tuned for opportunities to help with a neighborhood cleanup and community painting days this Fall!
