Students enroll in one of the four languages offered in Kindergarten: Chinese, French, German, Japanese. Students continue in the original language and may choose a second language of study in middle school. We also offer a full middle school curriculum with Band, Orchestra and school sports.

Our Kindergarten families kicked off the year with a morning of play, connection, and new friendships at the Kindergarten Meet & Mingle! 💙🌎

It was so much fun to see our youngest learners get to know their classmates and families as they begin their SAIL journey.

A big thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make the morning so special. We’re grateful for the community that shows up for our students and can’t wait for an amazing school year ahead!

Students and families came together Saturday morning to reconnect, meet new classmates, and have some fun as they get ready for Middle School at SAIL.

A huge thank you to the volunteers who made the morning possible and helped give our 6th graders such a warm welcome. We’re excited for all that’s ahead and can’t wait for a great school year! 💙

Our future SAIL students had a great time at the Kindergarten Meet-Up at Seoul Food Meat Company!

It was wonderful to see new kindergarten students and their families connecting, making new friends, and getting excited for the school year ahead. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thank you to Seoul Food Meat Company for providing a great place for our families to gather.

Basketball and Volleyball Camp

Last chance to sign-up is this weekend! The SAIL Basketball and Volleyball Camp starts this Monday, July 6th, offering morning, afternoon, or all-day sessions to build skills and teamwork.

Whether you are a rising 4th–6th grader preparing for the Basketball League, a rising 7th or 8th grader getting ready for middle school tryouts, or a rising 9th grader training to make your high school team, this camp provides the foundation you need.

Back in January, our German Immersion students at South Academy of International Languages made a video welcoming the German National Soccer Team to their World Cup HQ at Winston-Salem University. The team saw it and loved it. While they couldn’t come to SAIL, they did send us 50 tickets to see them at an Open Training session. Our PTSO helped us realize our dream of sending as many students as possible and facilitated a bus for us. We arrived in style and were recognized by name by the President of the Deutsche Fußball-Bund , thanking us for our video. The students gave interviews to major German News channels and saw their heroes in action, even getting a few autographs. Joshua Kimmich couldn’t believe that all of our students could speak German! We hope that everyone who joined learned about working hard, dreaming big, and being ready when a little luck comes your way.

Our German team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the PTSO for seeing our vision, our parents for trusting us, our students for representing our school well, and of course the German National Team for their generosity with their time. We are all grateful.
