🔆Summer is slowly peaking around the corner! Keep your kiddos busy, creative, and having fun with our Summer Camp options at Rock U!

🎧 1 Week Recording Camp from June 22nd-26th, In this camp collaborate with your fellow campers to create an original song which will be uploaded to Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, etc.!

🎸Beginner Band Camp from July 6th-10th! For students ages 5-11 they will get to strum guitars and bang on our drums, learn their favorite songs and at the end of the week put on a concert here at Rock U!

🎤2 Week Performance Camp from July 13th-24th (weekends off) for our older crowd ages 12-18, in these 2 weeks you work hard to learn a couple of your favorite songs and put on a performance at the end on our stage! This would be perfect if you were looking to get a bit of experience playing with a group and get a taste of what we do in our Band program!

❄️🥁 Weather Closure Update – Wednesday, February 4th 🥁❄️

While many of the main roadways have improved, there are still numerous back roads, subdivisions, shaded areas, and non-sunny locations that remain covered in snow and ice — including our parking lot. Although primary roads are mostly clear, many surrounding secondary roads are still unsafe in multiple spots.

For the safety of our students and instructors — especially after dark — Rock University will be closed again on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026.

❄️🎸 Weather Closure Update – Tuesday, February 2nd and 3rd 🎸❄️We drove over to the school to check conditions firsthand. While main roads are mostly clear, Morehead Road and many surrounding back roads are still unsafe in multiple spots.

For the safety of our students and instructors — especially after dark — Rock University will be closed Tuesday, February 3rd.

Conditions may improve by Wednesday, but we will only open during daylight hours (if at all). A final decision for Wednesday will be shared by 3:00 PM Tuesday.

I don’t think this will come as a surprise, but Rock University will be closed on Monday, February 2nd due to weather conditions.

We will continue to monitor road conditions for Tuesday, February 3rd, however it is not looking promising at this time due to the excessive cold and the lack of expected melt on secondary roads. Safety for our students and instructors is always our top priority.

Please continue to check here and RockUniversity.com for updates.Also, please ignore any TeacherZone lesson reminders, as those are automated and do not recognize weather related closures.

Our instructors are prepared to add extra hours over the next few weeks to ensure all missed lessons are made up. Mike, who normally teaches on Mondays and Saturdays, will be adding time on Tuesdays until all makeups are complete, as we have lost two Mondays in addition to recent holidays.
