Happy Spooky Season! 🎃 Today at TGY Discovery, all the classrooms joined in for a fun and festive pumpkin decoration contest. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students and teachers worked together to bring their creative ideas to life. Each class had its own unique theme — from spooky haunted houses and friendly ghosts to glittering autumn scenes and silly monster faces. Tables were covered with paint, glitter, and piles of colorful craft supplies, and the smell of pumpkin filled the air.

Welcome the new all girls school to the Charlotte and surrounding area! G.O.B.I.G is currently enrolling K-2 for August 2025 school year.Ask about the endless opportunities this school will provide for young girls.

Parent On-The-Go Breakfast was a success! We can’t thank our TGY Discovery Family enough. We are glad we were able to jump start their morning on a good note!

Today we started yoga by giving our stuffed animal friends some love. We held them close and took deep breaths with them and used them to help us calm our bodies. We practiced the firefly, the owl and koala pose. We also had Ms Victoria come and join us for the owl pose! What a wonderful start to yoga Mondays this November! Namaste friends! 🪰🦉🐨🧸

Happy Fall Festival from TGY Discovery and, oh what a blast, at Trunk Or Treat! 🎃

Our chefs are back at it this week! We created jack-o-lantern quesadillas, a cute twist on cheese and tortilla. Each chef got to sprinkle cheese and create jack-o-lanterns. 🧀🎃

This week in Alphabet Adventure, we learned about and worked on the letter J. We used jam to represent the letter J and each child got to spread the jam and eat their jam and bread! Then, we ended our mini class with a classic game of Jenga, which we all enjoyed! Stay tuned to see what we do next week.

It’s our last yoga of October! Our friends enjoyed the bunny pose the most with what they called, the Superman, close behind! We also practiced “hot air balloon” breathing where we imagined we were in a field full of peace and quiet. Let’s see what November brings us. Namaste friends!

Our chefs 🧑‍🍳 were back in action and street corn queso was on the menu.Our team put an extra dash of deliciousness into this dish. The main star of this dish, however, was cheese 🧀 yes cheese! Then throw in splash of tomato and corn together, and bam,💥 a meal even our teachers couldn’t turn down. Stay tune to next week to see what’s whipping up in the kids kitchen.

Today we had STEM class! Each child got to participate in adding ingredients to create Pumpkin Spice putty. They used their fine motor skills to stir up the putty! The fun didn’t stop there!

Today we practiced affirmation meditation. We said aloud, “I am healthy, I am powerful, I am creative and I love myself”. We also practiced the hibernating bear, geese flying south, and migrating butterfly. Our friends looked in between their legs and pretended they were bears, and flapped their legs to imitate butterfly wings. Namaste friends 🐻🪿🦋

Our chef’s are at it again! Today they got to create Mummy Dogs, which is a twist on your average pig in a blanket. With spooky season upon us, this was a great idea! 👻🌭
