🌙🍪 Learning is extra sweet in 1st grade!

Our first graders have been studying the phases of the moon, and what better way to bring science to life than with Oreos?! From new moon to full moon, students created each phase—and may have enjoyed a little snack along the way. 😉🌑🌓🌕🌗

What a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year! 🐾❤️

The first three days have been filled with smiling faces, new friendships, familiar routines, and lots of learning. We are so thankful to have our Bobcats back on campus and can’t wait to see all that God has in store for this school year!

As we prepare to welcome students back to campus tomorrow, we’re excited to celebrate some of the newest members of our CCAC community! Our “Welcome to the Bobcat Family” yard signs were delivered to help our new families feel right at home.

Today we're excited to introduce another wonderful addition to our Bobcat family...
Meet Ms. Viri Rivera! 🎉
1st Grade Teacher
Ms. Rivera brings 10 years of teaching experience and a heart that has been called to education from a very young age.
She shares:
"I feel that the Lord has always placed that special desire in my heart to teach. From as young as 8 years old, I was teaching my little brother his letters. I truly want every child to feel loved, cared for, and know that learning is fun!"
When asked why she chose Christ Classical Academy, she said:
"First, it was the Christian environment. I loved knowing that I would have the opportunity to share the love of Christ every day. From my interview, I could tell CCAC was a supportive and inviting place, striving to make a positive impact in students' lives through the words and works of Christ. I knew I wanted to be part of it."
This year, Ms. Rivera hopes to reflect God's grace in everything she does and create a classroom where curiosity thrives and every child feels seen.
❤️ Her greatest hope for her students?
"My biggest desire for each student in my classroom is for them to feel loved and safe."
🐱 Fun Fact: Ms. Rivera and her family are huge animal lovers! They have adopted five cats, and she even bottle-fed three kittens starting when they were only two weeks old.

🌟New Teacher Spotlight! 🌟

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Deondray Love, our new 6th-grade teacher! With more than 12 years of experience, Mr. Love is an ordained elder, former youth pastor and Christian education teacher, devoted husband, father of three, and grandfather of two.

He is passionate about simplifying complex ideas and helping students grow academically, confidently, and spiritually. His heart for education goes far beyond the classroom—he hopes to inspire students to discover and develop the gifts God has placed within them. Above all, he desires for every student to know, experience, and grow in the love of Christ.

Mr. Love and his family have called the Charlotte area home for the past three years. He and his wife also recently celebrated 18 wonderful years of marriage!

Welcome to CCAC, Mr. Love! We are blessed to have you! 💙

Today we're excited to introduce another wonderful addition to the CCAC family...
Meet Patrick Miller! 🎉
Upper School English & History Teacher
Patrick and his wife, Zoe, moved to Charlotte from Michigan last year, and we are so grateful that God led them to Christ Classical Academy.
Patrick has a passion for history, literature, and philosophy, and loves helping students discover how every subject points back to God's truth. His goal is to make learning engaging, meaningful, and rooted in a biblical worldview.
When asked why he chose CCAC, Patrick shared:
"I have always wanted to teach at a classical school because of its academic rigor and emphasis on reason and dialogue. I was especially impressed with CCAC's commitment to educating the whole child—not just academically, but morally and spiritually as well."

This year, Patrick hopes to challenge students to think deeply, ask important questions, and examine history and literature through the lens of Scripture. Most of all, he wants every student to know this:
❤️ "I hope they feel welcomed and accepted for who they are as children of God."

Meet Our Newest Bobcat!
We're excited to welcome Heather Hoag as our new 4th Grade Teacher!
Mrs. Hoag brings 20 years of experience as an art teacher, but this year she's stepping into a new adventure—and we're so thankful she's joining the CCAC family.

A few fun facts about Mrs. Hoag:
🎢 She loves roller coasters.
🐱 She has two cats, Jean Louise and Cayde.
🎨 She discovered her love for teaching after taking an art education class in college—a change of plans that God used to shape her calling.

Her hope for this year is simple and beautiful:
"I hope my students know that God loves them... and that I love them." ❤️
