Meet Freddie: "Freddie was diagnosed with autism and ADHD aged 8. For years we struggled to find something that interested him, although he always loved cars. One day we took him to a Karting track and almost immediately he was hooked. He has been racing competitively for about 8 months and competes at racing club competitions and Pro Series Championships monthly. Since January 2022 he has won 11 trophies and his dream is to become a racing driver at some level.
This journey has improved his state of mind, given him a sense of inclusion and helped with his social engagement, which he really struggled with before! It’s a joy to see him excited and focused about something and it’s a massive reward to us.
