EVA would like to introduce Ms. Liu!
Ms. Liu was born in Yunnan, China, and moved to the United States to attend High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stony Brook University and her Masters of Education in Human Development Studies from Vanderbilt University.
Ms. Liu loves to explore language, the arts, and the intersections between cultures, and we love having her as part of our EVA family!

EVA would like to re-introduce Ms. Liu!
Ms. Liu was born in Heilongjiang Province, China, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science In 2001 and moved to the United States in 2014. Mandarin is Ms. Liu’s native language and she is passionate about language learning and cultural exchange. She enjoys working with children and believes that teaching is not only about sharing knowledge but also about building connections and fostering growth.
We love having Ms. Liu in our EVA family as a Kindergarten teacher!

EVA would like to introduce Mr. Tyte!
Mr. Tyte holds degrees in Federal Contract Management (2024) and Computer Science (2025). He earned his North Carolina Residency Teaching Certification in 2026, and is completing a Master's Degree in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in mathematics and science!
As a teacher, Mr. Tyte considers attention to student health and wellbeing as part of the instruction rather than separate from it. He also co-advises the Chess and Games club and the STEM, Science and Robotics club, and has built and donated a number of instructional resources to East Voyager, including the school's curriculum hub and a mathematics glossary in English, Mandarin and Spanish so that a term carries the same meaning in whichever language a student is thinking in.
We are so excited to have Mr. Tyte as part of our team!

Mr. Crawford is a lifelong resident of North Carolina, and an alumnus of Belmont Abbey College, where he majored in History.
He has worked in public and charter schools throughout the southern Piedmont, including twenty-one years coaching junior and senior high sports - Wrestling, Track and Field, and Cross Country.
When not at school, Mr. Crawford enjoys reading and visiting museums and historic sites. Welcome to EVA, Mr. Crawford!

EVA would like to introduce Ms. Chang!
Ms. Chang is an knowledgeable educator with nearly 30 years of experience in both China and the United States. Ms. Amy is passionate about helping students become confident, lifelong learners through engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, exploring national parks, hiking, and spending time with her two cats.
For the 2026-27 school year, Ms. Chang will be the 2nd grade homeroom teacher while pursuing North Carolina teacher licensure - we are so thrilled to have her as part of the EVA family!
