Community Culinary School of Charlotte

Community Culinary School of Charlotte Founded in 1997, the CCSC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

CCSC provides Workforce Development training and job placement assistance in the food service industry for at risk adults who face challenges in gaining and retaining long-term successful employment. Our program provides systemic solutions to achieve social and economic objectives - breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty while increasing upward mobility of disadvantaged groups. Students come to

the CCSC through a variety of means: from word-of-mouth exposure by previous graduates; from community outreach conducted by the CCSC; from social service agencies; job search centers and the judicial system, who may be working with potential students. Our students give back by feeding the community’s hungry and continue to support each other through an alumni association. All potential students must meet the criteria for acceptance and must exhibit a willingness to better their lives.

CCSC will be closed Friday, 9/4, and Monday, 9/7, in honor of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, 9/8, at 9am.

CCSC’s bakery showcase is looking delicious this morning!We have caramel apple pie muffins, lemon mini bundt cakes, chocolate chip cookie pies, and gluten free apple cupcakes with cream cheese frosting! Stop by and make your day a little sweeter.

CCSC’s Chef Anthony, alumnus from Class 5, is grilling up some herb and garlic mushrooms for our Mushroom and Brie Grilled Cheese Sandwich that we are serving today in our cafe’. Try it with a bowl of our delicious Clam Chowder soup!
