I lead my first workshop yesterday with 11 Middle School Girls. The theme was ‘How do you want to FEEL in 2024’? We sang/danced with scarves and hats to Firework by Katy Perry, journal activities, group discussions, yoga poses, mindful breathing and creating vision boards based on how they want to ‘feel’. It was a huge success and we all had a great time. I’m looking forward to my next workshop. Each girl received a gift bag and folder with goodies to take home. 💕

Happy Thanksgiving! We made a family gratitude tree which is our family tradition every Thanksgiving. It always fills my heart with joy when we do this as a family and read it everyday throughout the week. 💜

This week my school participated in our 3rd annual shoebox collection with Samaritans Purse. As a school, we filled 145 shoeboxes which will be sent to children around the world. Wow!!
This is a perfect example of taking yoga off the mat by showing kindness and love for others.
I just love participating in this wonderful project….it always fills my heart with joy. 💜

Today is World Kindess Day. I had a great day teaching my students about different ways to show kindess towards others. Students made gratitude cards for their teachers and decorated kindness affirmations to take home.
Sprinkle KINDNESS around like confetti. 🎉

November is here which means lots of FUN as we focus on turkeys and gratitude. My younger students got to hold real turkey feathers today. We had a great discussion about what they felt like and what they looks like. Then we did a feather breath activity which works on calming all the busy thoughts in the mind.
I played a gratitude game with my older kids today. It was great hearing all the wonderful conversations about gratitude. ❤️

Today is World Mental Health Day. The focus this week with my yoga students is to discuss mental health and drop the stigma letting them know that they are ok, they are safe and they are loved.
I had my students place their hands on their hearts and repeat... I'm OK. I'm safe. I am loved.
What are you doing today to make your mental health a priority? I have already done a couple meditations and went for a 30 minute walk in this gorgeous weather. My intention today is to BE in the moment, smile and focus on my breath. Sending love to you all. ❤️

A FUNfilled day of Halloween Yoga 🎃
