Automotive Teacher Needed!
Independence High School is currently seeking a teacher for our Automotive program. This is a great opportunity for someone who has been in the field and is ready for a change or is recently retired and wants to share their passion for working on cars. The program comes with a well-equipped shop and a supportive staff. Years of professional experience can advance you on the teacher pay scale. Please feel free to reach out with me to me if you have any questions or you can contact the school directly.

Independence High School had a visit with one of our partners Kale Hallman from Brothers Masonry to learn about one of the many opportunities available to them in construction. They also got to handle a trowel, spread some mortar, and how to lay brick.
We have the kids, they have the jobs. It's that simple.

Please help support the Independence High School Carpentry program by purchasing a project that was built by our students.
We have five 7 ft x 7 ft blinds available. The blinds feature Deer View windows, LP smartside siding, a fully functioning door, pressure treated floor joist, 3/4" subfloor, and metal roofing. The blinds were built in a way where they can be disassembled for transport and then reassembled in the field.
The blind does not include any framing to elevate the blind. The blinds will need to be painted to the color of your choice. The picture of the assembled blind is an example of what a fully assembled, painted, and elevated blind could look like.
The cost is $1,000. I will accept Venmo or Zelle as payment methods. Sorry, no cash or checks.

Our partner company, Swinerton Construction, came today for a steel stud demonstration. It's great to see the kids engaged and the career opportunities that come with these types of partnerships.
