Your appearance speaks before you do. ✨

This week’s Etiquette Tip of the Week: Dress with Intention.

Wearing attire that is neat, pressed, and appropriate for the occasion is a simple yet powerful way to show respect for yourself and others. Clean shoes, understated accessories, and thoughtful choices help create a polished first impression.

When in doubt, it’s always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed.

Graduation season is the perfect time to remind young people that gratitude is one of the most important manners they can carry into adulthood.

Whether a graduate receives a gift, a kind card, or support from family and friends, a handwritten thank-you note is always appropriate. It is a simple gesture that leaves a lasting impression.

At the National League of Junior Cotillions, we believe that good manners are not just taught in class, they are practiced in everyday moments.

Make sure your graduate is prepared with beautiful stationery for handwritten thank-you notes.

Meet Hayley Hinson, Director of the National League of Junior Cotillions Greater Houston Lake Chapter.
For Hayley, cotillion is a true full-circle story. Before becoming the director of the Greater Houston Lake Chapter, she was once a cotillion student herself, learning the same timeless lessons of courtesy, confidence, respect, and social grace that she now has the privilege of sharing with a new generation.
The photos featured here are from Hayley’s first ball, a special reminder of the traditions, memories, and lasting impact that cotillion can create. What began as a meaningful experience in her own life has now become an opportunity to give back to students and families in the community she loves.
Hayley brings warmth, dedication, and a genuine heart for young people to her role as director. As a wife, mother, pharmacist, and lifelong member of the community, she understands the value of helping students feel comfortable, confident, and prepared in social settings.
We are proud to spotlight Hayley and celebrate the beautiful connection between her own cotillion memories and the chapter she now leads.
Enrollment for the 2026-2027 season is now open. Class sizes are limited and reserved on a first come, first served basis.
