Learning Healthy Habits Starts Early!

Today, our toddlers learned all about the dentist and the importance of keeping our teeth healthy and clean! 🪥😁🦷

At Kids R Kids Learning Academy of Blakeney, education goes beyond numbers and letters. We believe in helping children develop important lifestyle, self-help, and healthy living skills that they can use every day.

Today, our little learners practiced their brushing skills using toothbrushes to “brush” egg cartons and blocks. This fun, hands-on activity helped them explore proper brushing techniques while building independence and healthy habits.

We love making learning meaningful, engaging, and fun!

Our students had so much fun discovering the world through their five senses! This week, we focused on sight and touch through hands-on sensory experiences that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and exploration.

The PKPIV students created and explored sensory bottles inspired by people and animals. They observed the colors, textures, movement, and sounds inside each bottle as they shook, watched, and investigated what happened!

Our PKPI students kicked off the fun by discussing the five senses in both humans and animals and exploring how we use our senses to understand the world around us.

Our infants experienced with finger painting! Our little artists enjoyed feeling the paint between their fingers, exploring different textures, and expressing themselves through colorful process art.

Every experience is an opportunity to learn, discover, and grow! When little hands can touch, little eyes can see, and little minds can explore, learning comes to life.

Today was a very special day at Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Blakeney as we officially kicked off the first day of the 26-27' school year!

From our youngest learners in the infant room to our growing toddlers, preschoolers, and our amazing Private Kindergarten students, our hallways were filled with excitement, smiles, new friendships, and so much joy.

A new school year means new opportunities to learn, grow, explore, and create unforgettable memories. We are so excited to watch each of our students reach new milestones and discover all they are capable of throughout the year.

To our Private Kindergarten students, we are especially excited to begin this important educational journey with you as you build the foundation for a lifelong love of learning!

Thank you to our wonderful families for trusting us with your children and to our incredible teachers for making today such a special and successful first day.

Here’s to an amazing school year filled with learning, laughter, friendships, and growth. We can’t wait to see what this year has in store!

At Kids R Kids Blakeney, we love watching friendships blossom at every age! From infants noticing and engaging with one another, to toddlers learning to play side by side, preschoolers discovering the joy of having a best friend, and school-age children building connections through teamwork and shared experiences, friendship is an important part of growing up.
Each day, our children are learning valuable social skills through play and everyday interactions. They are discovering how to share, take turns, communicate, show kindness, solve problems and celebrate one another.
These early friendships help create a strong sense of belonging and give children opportunities to build confidence, empathy and social skills that will grow right along with them.

In our Toddler I program, every little moment is a learning opportunity! Our toddlers love getting hands-on with sensory activities that encourage them to touch, explore, experiment, and discover. Sensory play helps little learners build important skills while having fun strengthening fine motor skills, encouraging language, supporting problem-solving, and sparking their natural curiosity. But our philosophy goes beyond what we teach. It is about how we make children feel while they learn:

In our Infant classroom, every activity is thoughtfully designed to support healthy growth and development. This week, our babies explored engaging sensory experiences while practicing exciting midline activities!

Sensory play encourages infants to use their senses to explore the world around them, helping strengthen cognitive development and curiosity. Our midline activities help strengthen the connection between both sides of the brain by encouraging babies to reach across their bodies, build coordination, and develop the foundational skills needed for crawling, self-feeding, writing, and more.

It's amazing to see how much learning happens through simple moments of play! We are so proud of our little learners as they discover, explore, and grow each day.

Our new STEM Sensory Wall is already becoming a favorite learning destination! Through hands-on exploration, our students are strengthening fine motor skills, developing problem-solving abilities, recognizing patterns and colors, and building early engineering and math concepts all while having fun!
