Hi all, I want to give an update for this summer. Many may be wondering when Hmong camp is happening again.

A small update on my family and I: we are actually moving this summer and leaving the beautiful state of North Carolina.

Therefore, I will not be hosting a Hmong Camp for Kids this summer 2026.

Thank you to the parents that enrolled in the past! I still remember each child and it’s been an honor to teach them the Hmong language. 🥹

Throughout the years of hosting the camp, I got to witness children’s eyes light up when they realize they can learn Hmong! It has been a joy to see the children learn, help each other, play together, and treat one another with respect. We have a great community of families here that I will greatly miss!

I also want to thank Charlotte Hmong Alliance Church for lending us their facility & to all my volunteers throughout the years. The camp wouldn’t have been possible without your support & encouragement!

NC has a bright future. I believe our Hmong language & culture will survive for generations to come. Please continue to invest and support Hmong programs.

I'm so passionate about helping our next generation of kids Learn Hmong, I actually developed TWO mobile apps to help them.

Since I did not know Hmong as a child, I often grew up ashamed that I didn't know how to speak my own language. However, all I needed was someone willing to teach me. Once I found that teacher, I was able to quickly learn to speak Hmong.

These were resources I wished were available to help me back then, to practice and perfect my pronunciation. Today, I have made them available for all students enrolled in Hmong Camp for Kids.

Get to know us! Meet the team that is running Hmong Camp for Kids this year. As you can see, we have a big team. This year is going to be the best one yet!

I believe in fostering a love of learning the Hmong Language. This camp is a Hmong immersion program that will be taught in a fun, engaging way for Kids. The feedback I often get from parents is that their kids can't wait to come back the next day. We are truly preparing everything to equip your child to learn and fall in love with the Hmong language and culture.

This course is designed for all children ages 5-12. Children are great learners, you will be amazed by how much your child may learn in just one week!

Price is $140 for the first child, and $80 per each additional sibling. This is a small investment to nurture a life-long love for learning our beautiful Hmong language.

Each student enrolled will receive a workbook, t-shirt, snacks, lunch, and school supplies to support their learning. If there are any questions, comment below or message me privately.

Laura Moua plays a crucial role in teaching and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Hmong community. The Hmong Language Academy of Charlotte, NC was established by her.

Kalia Yang, a licensed teacher in North Carolina, aims to create a positive influence within the Hmong community.

They are dedicated professionals who are passionate about sharing their language and traditions with others. Through their expertise and guidance, students are able to learn and appreciate the beauty of the Hmong language.
