This day serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by countless soldiers throughout the country's history, from the Revolutionary War to contemporary conflicts.

Many people also observe a moment of silence at 3:00 PM local time, known as the National Moment of Remembrance, to reflect on the profound cost of freedom.
