Meet the faces behind Lumi! ✨

At Lumi, our instructors bring a wide range of professional training, performance experience, and a shared passion for helping young artists grow. From acting and voice to musical theatre, dance, directing, and choreography, our team is here to challenge, encourage, and inspire the next generation of performers.

Our goal goes beyond what happens on stage. We believe in creating a nurturing space where students can build confidence, find their voice, explore their creativity, and discover a lifelong love for the arts.

✨ MEET THE PRODUCTION TEAM ✨

🎭 ANNIE KIDS is coming to Fort Mill, and we’re so excited to introduce the incredible team bringing this beloved Broadway classic to life! ❤️

Meet our production team:

🎭 Maci Hatton — Director/Choreographer
Originally from central Indiana, Maci is an actor, director, and choreographer who has worked in Indianapolis, Nashville, Chicago, Orlando, and now Charlotte! She began performing at just 3 years old and has been hooked ever since. Maci is passionate about educational theatre, community, confidence-building, and helping young actors become brave, empathetic, creative humans. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Theatre Directing from the University of Idaho and is thrilled to be part of the growing Lumi Family! 💫 You may recognize her from Shrek KIDS and our Fort Mill Grand Opening session!

🎶 Laura Carskadden — Music Director
Laura discovered her love of singing and music through musical theatre as a child. She holds degrees in Vocal Performance and Psychology from High Point University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance & Pedagogy from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins. Laura has performed in musical theatre and opera and has played piano for more than 20 years. She currently teaches private voice and piano and serves as Director of Music Enrichment at Spirited Sprout. Laura is passionate about helping young performers discover their own love of music! 🎵

MEET THE BRAND-NEW LUMI DANCE CONSERVATORY! ✨

We’re thrilled to bring even more dance, training, performance, and creative opportunities to Lumi!

Starting at age 3, dancers can grow with us through a variety of classes designed to build strong technique, confidence, and artistry—with end-of-year recital opportunities for our younger dancers!

For dancers ages 7+, there’s even MORE coming:

💃 Weekly Dance Conservatory training
🎬 Choreography + combo-based classes
✨ Studio content & dance reel opportunities
🎥 Individual dancer reels coming soon
🔥 Monthly drop-in classes for ages 7+
🎭 Performance opportunities

Our Conservatory dancers will learn combinations throughout their weekly training that can later be taken from the studio to the camera, giving dancers opportunities to build performance footage and content throughout the year!

And for a LIMITED TIME, take advantage of special discounted monthly tuition as we launch the program!
